Best Dang Brownies

Promised Rachael I'd post this one...

Ingredients:
-Brownie batter-
1 German Chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups milk chocolate chips
-Caramel sauce-
1/3 cup milk
14 oz pkg caramels, unwrapped

Mix together cake mix, milk and butter. Pour half batter into an ungreased 9x13" pan. Bake at 325º for 6 minutes.

In a small sauce pan, melt caramels in milk and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Remove pan from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot cake. Spread melted caramels over chips. Using spoonfuls, drop remaining batter over cake. Bake for 18 minutes at 325º. Cool completely before serving.

Grandma Johnson's Chocolate Chip Banana Cookies

Ingredients:
5 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 1/3 cup smashed bananas
2/3 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cup shortening
1 1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup nuts

In a small bowl, mix bananas, milk and vanilla. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift flour, baking flour, baking soda and salt together. Add flour mixture and milk mixture alternately to banana mix. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Bake on a greased cookie sheet 10 minutes at 350°.
